Oscillate Studio | Professional Recording Studio

Oscillate Studio is professional recording studio based in the vibrant Northern Quarter of Manchester. It is run by myself Chris Hughes and I have over 10 years experience within the music industry. In this time I have run a record label and publishing company, had 2 albums released and over 15 singles, and have music placed on Sony PlayStation games and MTV. As an artist and DJ I have toured the world and supported many top acts.

I have engineered at some of Manchester’s top studios and for the last 2 years I have set up my own studio custom designed to give artists precision recordings, mixdowns and masters. I pride myself getting the best out of people, with some of the artists I have developed through recordings and tuition having gone on to get signed and further their musical career.

The studio is ideal for

  • Band recordings in our fully kitted out Live Room with use of Drum Kit, Fender, Vox, Ampeg and Ashdown amps.
  • Singer/songwriters, artists, producers, record labels wanting a professional recording, mixdown and master.
  • Artists wanting to write music. Any style catered for from electronic dance (R’n’B, Electro House, D’n’b, Dubstep, etc.) through to Indie and Rock.
  • Bespoke backing tracks can be written for artists, all styles welcome.
  • Voice-overs, sound effects for jingles, radio, TV and film.
  • Anyone who wants to learn how to produce their own tracks and get them sounding professional using Logic Pro or Ableton Live.
  • Remotely record your band at your own rehearsal space or gig and overdub at the studio.

Recording and streaming live The Travelling Band

I will be recording and assisting the live stream of The Travelling Band's gig at a special PlayConcert hosted event at The Castle Hotel in Manchester on Monday 20th May 8pm. It will be the first time I wil be working with PlayConcert under my new role as Head Of Production. The stream will be hosted on online music and culture magazine The 405. New Client Play Concert Ltd releases Peter Hook Live At Manchester Cathedral

Recently I have become Head Of Music Production at Play Concert LTD. This company specialises in recording live gigs, and is looking to stream visuals and audio from events. Before I joined them they recorded 3 gigs for Peter Hook's band The Light at Preston, Leeds and Manchester Cathedral. A student and client of mine has launched a brand new record label called Anphonic Beats. Jason Palmer came to the studio about a year ago asking me for Ableton training and subsequent mixes and mastering since then.
